Love your teeth

You must look after your own teeth as well as you can:

  • Keep your original teeth, if humanly possible, and if not ensure you have dentures in place to enable you to eat 

  • Protect your teeth
    (Do not bite directly into or chew hard substances – hard sweets, chocolate, apples, tablets, gummies, nuts etc. Instead consider grinding up nuts; slice, stew, juice or blend apples; use liquid nutritional products; dissolve tablets; melt or grate chocolate or eat soft chocolate as an occasional treat etc.)

  • Obviously clean your teeth daily

  • Use protective equipment to shield your face and protect your teeth where applicable or indeed consider avoiding dangerous activities or sports

  • Try to avoid letting anyone drill or remove your teeth, as far as possible. Remember fillings fall out and are not an ideal solution!
