The aetiology of heat
Emotionally fiery fury, frustration and stress can lead to lucid, rational thoughts which overtime with oppression, persecution and suppression may evolve. Fuel can be added to this fire by heating foods such as alcohol, drugs, excess spices or very hot spices and fatty foods. Warm environments and summer heat can bring things to the boil, and sometimes ‘mad’ or ‘rogue’ events occur.
A cultural revolution is underway to maintain homoeostasis of the
‘shen’ or mind and move from mad negative to positive strategies for change, but the dichotomy is that perceived ‘madness’ is very subjective and dependent on societal ‘norms’ which may not always be very sane.
Coherent attempts to make changes within society tend to be based on intellect, and this had caused many problems over centuries with the oppression of complementary therapies, races, women etc., and the ensuing construction of biased mental health diagnostics to disarm various people and deter them from achieving their potential. Surviving the heat is essential! Remain alert!
